In early December 2015 “Storm Desmond” tore through Cumbria.
Although not so badly affected as many other towns and villages, we saw Asby Beck turn from its normally gentle stream (often completely dry above St Helen’s Well) into a raging torrent.
Yet, just 24 hours later, the sun was shining and our world was beginning to return to normal.
This video by local residents Ben Hadler and Christine Davison shows this dramatic change.
