Pupils are happy coming to this welcoming and inclusive school. Although small in size, the school sits at the heart of its local community. Staff know pupils and their families well. Warm relationships between staff and pupils ensure that pupils feel safe and well cared for ….. Pupils appreciate the benefits of being in a small school ….. The school’s work to enhance pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is of a high quality. As the plaque on the wall indicates there has been a school on this site for
several centuries, but clearly it is not living in the past!
Our local primary school is home to around 16 pupils, in two classes.

Asby Endowed School is looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Governing Body from September 2022. It’s a fascinating and rewarding voluntary role which offers a great opportunity to contribute to your local community, and to help give our children the best possible start in life. There is a time commitment of at least six meetings per year, plus occasional visits to the school in between meetings.

The AES governing body would like to invite parents, carers and community members to a public meeting to discuss the future of Asby Endowed School and the proposal of offering flexi schooling from September 2022.
This will be everyone’s chance to hear all about the things we have been doing and would like to do to increase pupil numbers.
