Created March during the Summer of 2009
Saint Helen’s well is situated in the centre of the village it flows continuously even during a drought.
In 2009 the residents and the local school children celebrated the well with the art of well dressing. Within a wooden frame clay tiles were decorated with leaves, twigs, flowers and petals. These were displayed around the well. Unfortunately these are not permanent and are remade each year. So from photographs and sketches felt tiles were made to replicate these and then joined together to make 2 large and a small pew runner.
