There are some attractive Victorian floor tiles around the alter in the church. These patterns were used to make the felt tiles found in this last runner.
Using a grey fleece for the base with a dark pink Merino wool for the background. Pre-felts were made in red, dark blue and bright blue these were all cut to the same size. Templates were made so that the patterns were even. These were made from white pre-felts which were needle felted in place. Turquoise triangles of pre-felt finish off the design.
Once assembled the runner was wet felted as before.
