Synopsis

I biopic of John Davidson, diagnosed with Tourette’s at 15, and targeted as ‘insane’ by his peers, he struggled with a condition few had witnessed.  But when he bumps into an old schoolfriend he’s suddenly taken into the care of his friend’s mental health nurse mother Dottie (Maxine Peake), and the two bond over an acceptance over his condition.

In 2019 he was awarded the MBE by The Queen, citing “His efforts to increase understanding of his condition and helping families deal with it.”
