One of the interesting features of Great Asby and the surrounding area are the dry stone walls. They not only keep animals and people in and out as well as providing a home for many plants and animals.
Made on a green back ground, our wall was built from pre-felted grey, brown and white wool with some green for moss and lichen. All the animals and plants were also pre felted with needle felting for detail. These include 2 red squirrel which can often seen running along walls, a fox, a wren, a door mouse, snails, a hedgehog, cranes bill, ox eye daisy, fox gloves, convolvulus and many grasses.
