Synopsis
Tom Michell is in his roaring twenties: single, free-spirited and seeking adventure. In 1976 he has a plane ticket to Argentina, which is on the brink of a political revolution. But Tom has a teaching position in a prestigious Argentine boarding school, and endless summer holidays. This film adaptation of Tom’s memoirs (published in 2016) has been made by The Full Monty director, Peter Cattaneo.
Expecting an easy ride, Tom (Steve Coogan) discovers a divided nation and a class of unteachable students. However, after he rescues a penguin from an oil-slicked beach, his life is turned upside-down.
