Synopsis
The film is based on the true story of Venus & Serena Williams. Richard Williams has a plan; a 78 page plan for two of his children. In a working class area of Los Angeles black girls are rarely destined for stardom. But then the world hasn’t yet met Richard’s daughters: Venus and Serena.
King Richard transcends sport biopic formulas with refreshingly nuanced storytelling, not to mention an award winning performance from Will Smith.
