Event Details
As part of the legacy of The Long View project, writer, Harriet Fraser and photographer, Rob Fraser are working with FotLD to build three treefolds across Cumbria.
The second of these, “treefold:east” was constructed near Sunbiggin Tarn on Little Asby Common in August last year. It has now been confirmed that a tree planting is due to take place at the treefold at 11am on Wednesday 21 February, involving a group of volunteers from Friends of the Lake District.
There is an open invitation to people from the local community to attend the planting.
The location of the new treefold, is within sight of the black-and-white sign post where the road between Sunbiggin Tarn and Little Asby meets the road to Mason Wath. See map below.
The Long View project is one of eight Charter Art Residencies across the UK, all supported by the Woodland Trust.
